Do you live in East Lothian? Do gulls nest near you?
We’re interested in Dunbar, Musselburgh and beyond …
Interested in urban gulls?
In 2020 ELC estimated 50 nest sites in Dunbar and 150 in Musselburgh. Dunbar is dominated by Herring and Musselburgh is 50% Lesser Black Backed. Everyone in Dunbar loves the petite Kittiwake, also a gull. It is treated like royalty. Kittiwakes also have the best spot in Dunbar – the Castle. Other less popular gulls have to slum it on a High Street! Let us know if there’s a nest near you.
