In 2020 ELC estimated 50 nest sites in Dunbar and 150 in Musselburgh. Dunbar is dominated by Herring and Musselburgh is 50% Lesser Black Backed. Our informal counts suggest there are more …
Everyone in Dunbar loves the petite Kittiwake, also a gull. It is treated like royalty. Kittiwakes also have the best spot in Dunbar – the Castle. Other less popular gulls have to slum it on the High Street!
